🩺 Job Description:

We are seeking qualified Basic Ambulance Assistants (BAA) to join our emergency medical services team. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency care, assisting with patient transportation, and supporting paramedics and emergency care practitioners.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to emergency calls and medical incidents

Provide basic life support and first aid care to patients

Assist in lifting, moving, and transporting patients safely

Communicate effectively with control rooms and hospital staff

Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of the ambulance

Accurately complete all patient care reports and documentation

Work in coordination with higher-level medical staff (AAs, ILS, ALS)

📋 Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric

BAA (Basic Ambulance Assistant) qualification – HPCSA-accredited

Valid HPCSA Registration Certificate

Valid driver’s license (Code 10 with PDP preferred)

Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure

Clear criminal record

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

💼 Advantages (Not required, but beneficial):

Previous EMS experience (private or public sector)

Additional certifications: First Responder, Firefighting, etc.

Intermediate/Advanced Life Support (ILS/ALS) qualification
