The purpose of the role is to research and capture Automotive Aftermarket Part data into a central database.
Key performance areas have been outlined below:
– Research (find and match) Original Equipment (OE) vehicle part numbers to South African vehicle applications.
– Capture OE part numbers into a central database.
– Identify missing data, inconsistencies, and errors and follow up or report on missing data or errors.
– Compare existing data and make necessary updates to current central data.
– Communicate with A-Professional, IT & Cataloguing departments on issues and progress.
– Perform data cleaning.
– Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-management.
– Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
– Ability to use multiple platforms when researching and capturing data.
– Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12 and basic computer (Microsoft Excel) and typing skills are essential. Minimum 1-year experience in data capturing.
Desirable Work Experience and knowledge:
– Automotive Aftermarket Parts knowledge.
– Basic vehicle under body understanding.
– Having worked in an OE Vehicle Parts Department would be a distinct advantage.
– Thorough with good attention to detail.
– Ordered and systematic with strict compliance to protocols.
– Able to work to deadlines.
– Good communication skills.
