\nSALARY R147 036.per annum
\nCENTRE : Cape Town Regional Office
\nREQUIREMENTS : ABET level 4 with relevant experience in a Workshop environment. Must have
\ninterpersonal, basic literacy, effective communication and technical skills,
\noperation of equipment, tools, chemicals and technical maintenance.
\nKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. Ability to adopt
\nto working schedule in accordance to office requirements. Adherence
\nrequirement of the Job. It will be expected of the incumbent to climb ladders
\nfor inspection, work in a confined space & perform maintenance in Government
\nBuildings & Other Islands (Marion, Gough & Antarctica).
\nDUTIES : Assist Artisans with regards to repair and maintenance work in Government
\nBuildings including Other Islands (Marion, Gough & Antarctica). Taking care of
\nhand tools and machines, perform minor repair and maintenance work. Identify
\nmaintenance and repair needs, carrying, loading and off- loading of tools as
\nwell as material. Check faults for repair and maintenance required and
\nhousekeeping of workshop and plant rooms to ensure compliance as per
\nOccupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993.
