CLEANER FOREMAN REF NO: SFHQ\/21\/21\/23\/05 (X1 POST)
\nSALARY : R147 036 per annum (Level 03)
\nCENTRE : Joint Operations, SA Special Forces, 4 Special Forces Regiment, Langebaan
\n(Western Cape).
\nREQUIREMENTS : Grade 4 \u2013 9 (NQF Level 1) or equivalent. Special requirements\/Skills needed:
\nKnowledge of a limited range of work procedures such as cleaning, equipment,
\nwork procedures, health and safety measures and incident handling
\nprocedures. Basic numeracy, interpersonal relationship, organising and
\nliteracy. Communication efficiency (verbal and written) in English.
\nDUTIES : Supervise job output of Cleaners. Divide the work between work teams and
\nindividuals. Serve as team leader of work teams and divide equipment amongst
\nwork teams and individuals. Assist in the training of Cleaners iro the usage of
\nmachines. Assist in the completion of performance assessments forms and
\nperformance incentives of subordinates. See to the attendance, leave and
\nrelieve of cleaning personnel. Apply for daily supplies\/equipment, collect it and
\nissue to Cleaners and keep supply register up to date. Forwarding of requests
\nfor chemicals and cleaning materials to be used for the execution of functions.
\nExercise control over keys and the locking and unlocking of halls. See to and
\nensure the rendering of cleaning services in order to maintain a high level of
\nhygiene in and around the workplace by cleaning offices, toilets, bathrooms,
\nlounges, bars, vehicles, dining halls, and TV rooms by dusting, polishing
\nfurniture, vacuuming carpets, washing windows, polishing and sweeping of
\nfloors, removing refuse and sweeping sidewalks and streets. Check the
\ngeneral condition of cleaning machinery regularly and report faults where
\nequipment is not up to standard. Maintaining all equipment and machinery
\nused and reporting any defects. Ensure safety awareness with the use of all
\nequipment on all tasks. It will be expected of the Candidate to do a practical
\ntest to prove his\/her competency in this field as part of the selection process.
