\nChief Directorate: Metro Health Services
\nSALARY : R125 373 per annum
\nCENTRE : Khayelitsha Community Day Centre
\nREQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience
\nAppropriate experience. Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B\/EB)
\ndriver\u2019s licence. Willingness to work shifts, including nightshift. Willing to handle
\nbodies (corpses). Ability to handle heavy objects. Ability to communicate in at
\nleast two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Competencies
\n(knowledge\/skills): Ability to work in a team.
\nDUTIES : Accompany walking patients and transport sitting\/non-walking patients per
\nwheelchair\/trolley from reception to the consulting rooms or from the consulting
\nrooms to the treatment centres. Direct or accompany visitors to various
\ndestinations. Assist with the loading of patients in\/out of ambulances\/vehicle
\nand transfer of patients to beds\/trolley and vice versa. Carry medical and other
\ndocumentation (patient files, reports, etc.) to the reception area. Assist with
\nshifting of medical equipment to and from rooms. Responsible for the
\ncleanliness and reporting of defects of trolleys and wheelchairs.
