CLEANERS REF NO: CJC\/CLNR\/2022 (X10 POSTS)
\nSALARY : R107 196 per annum (Level 02), plus benefits as applicable in the Public
\nSector
\nCENTRE : Central Office and CJC sites
\nREQUIREMENTS : ABET \/ Standard 8\/ Grade 10\/. Inherent requirements of the job: Must be
\nphysically fit to lift heavy objects. Must be willing to rotate in different
\ndepartments and sites according to operational needs and requirements.
\nCompetencies (knowledge\/skills): Knowledge of repetitive cleaning tasks.
\nKnowledge of relevant facilities policies. Knowledge of relevant legislation,
\nprescripts, policies and procedures. Knowledge of hygiene, Storage
\nrequirement, Good communication skills (read, speak and write). Ability to
\noperate machinery and equipment. Adhere to loyal service ethics.
\nDUTIES : Render support services to the supervisor. Maintain a high standard of
\nneatness and hygiene in the facility. Implement infection control policy
\nstandards. Effective cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Cost effective
\nuse of cleaning consumables. Provision of cleaning support services to
\ndepartments. Effective Waste Management. Provision of cleaning services:
\nCleaning offices corridors, elevators and boardrooms by: Dusting and waxing
\noffice furniture. Sweeping, scrubbing and waxing of floors. Vacuuming and
\nshampooing floors. Cleaning walls, windows and floors. Emptying and cleaning
\nof dirt bins. Collecting and removing of waste papers. Freshen the office areas.
\nClean general kitchens by: Cleaning of basins. Wash and keep stock of kitchen
\nutensils. Cleaning the restrooms by: Refilling hand wash liquid soap. Replace
\ntoilet papers hand towels and refreshers. Empty and wash waste bins. Keep
\nand maintain cleaning materials and equipment\u2019s by: Report broken cleaning
\nmachines. Cleaning of machines (microwares, Vacuum Cleaners) and
\nequipment after use. Request cleaning materials.
