\nREQUIREMENTS : Adult education and training (AET\/ABET) Level 3 or equivalent (Grade 7).
\nSkills\/Knowledge\/Competence: Basic understanding of Policies (Batho Pele
\nPrinciples, Patients Right Charter, Occupational Health and Safety, Six
\nPriorities and National Core Standards). Ability to work under pressure.
\nExcellent interpersonal and organizational skill. Good written and verbal
\ncommunication skills. Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
\nAbility to work independently and in a team. Ability to communicate well with
\npeople at different levels. Ability to organize and plan. Ability to act with tact
\nand discretion. Must be self-motivated. Ability to handle tasks of
\nmultidisciplinary nature. Must be prepared to work shifts which includes, fixed,
\nafter hours, night duty, weekends, and public holidays. Applicants should be
\nprepared to undergo medical surveillance as an inherent job requirement.
\nDUTIES : Loading and offloading patients from private cars, and ambulances when the
\nneed arises, accompany walking non-walking patients to different clinical areas
\naround the hospital. Collection of corpses around medical casualty, surgical

\nemergency unit, trauma unit and surgical unit to cool-room in casualty. Making
\nsure that PPE and waste are segregated properly. Collecting of unused
\nequipment\u2019s around the hospital and reporting of lost, damaged, or
\ndysfunctional equipment\u2019s. Must be prepared to work shifts, which includes
\nnight duty, weekends and on Public Holidays, and must be prepared to rotate
\nand operate as a reliever in all sections when requested by supervisor.
\nCleaning of equipment\u2019s always, preparing them for re-use and covering
\nstretchers with clean linen. Daily submission of production sheet to the
\nsupervisor. Wearing of nametags for identification is compulsory. Adhere to
\ninstructions given by Supervisor to relieve in any department in case of
\nshortage.
