\nREQUIREMENTS : A minimum of ABET qualification or grade 10 qualification or equivalent
\nqualification. Knowledge: of a limited range of working procedure in respect of
\nstores assistant working environment and elementary duties such as: Stores,
\ndocument tracking, storage and retrieval, planning and organising. Skills: Basic
\nnumeracy, literacy, good communication skills, ability to perform routine tasks
\nand Basic interpersonal relationship skills. Be prepared to work under pressure
\nand able to work in a team. Be prepared to rotate and work shifts. Be prepared
\nto do physical labour. It is a legal requirement that employees wear protective
\nclothing. The following will be an added advantage: Grade 12. Ability to
\nphysically move and distribute inventory (consumables\/ assets) and heavy
\nlifting of goods.
\nDUTIES : Ensure proper distribution of stock from warehouse(s) to various departments
\nin the hospital as per requests. Moving of assets (redundant or obsolete and
\nor new) in and out of the wards\/ offices as required. Assist with stock take and
\nverification of inventory in the hospital and investigation of discrepancies
\nidentified. Housekeeping and packing of storerooms as per Inventory
\nManagement SOP\u2019S and other regulations. Manage and ensure proper
\nreceiving, storage and distribution for Afrox cylinders, Liquid solutions and
\nother consumables for patients into the wards. Handling and resolving of
\nqueries forwarded to the department. Delivery of medical equipment to relevant
\n117
\nwards. Ensure all scrapped and condemned assets are placed in one central
\nplace for condemning procedure. Records keeping and filing of relevant
\ndocuments involved in the process.
