HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
\nSALARY : R147 459 per annum
\nCENTRE : Groote Schuur Hospital
\nREQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate
\n(GETC)\/Grade 9 (Std 7). Experience: Appropriate cleaning\/housekeeping and
\nCatering experience in a creche\/childcare centre environment. Inherent
\nrequirements of the job: Willingness to perform duties at irregular hours.
\nWillingness to perform overtime duty. Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Must
\nhave knowledge of how to operate cleaning and catering equipment. Good
\nwork ethics, interpersonal, organising and decision-making skills. Must be able
\nto work in a childcare environment and must have the ability to work in a team
\nand independently. Writing and reading skills in at least two of the three official
\nlanguages of the Western Cape.
\nDUTIES : Responsible for overall control, organising, performing and co-ordinating of
\ntasks related to linen, waste management, hygiene services, record-keeping,
\nand stock control. To provide a Catering Service to the children at the
\nChildcare Centre. Ensure a safe environment for both staff and the children.
\nRelief according to the needs of the service within the Childcare Centre
\nCoordination of the provision of effective training appropriate to service
\ndelivery. Effectively manage the utilization and supervision of resources and
\ncontract\/agency staff as well related HR matters.
