\nCape Winelands Health District
\nSALARY : R147 459 per annum
\nCENTRE : Montagu Hospital, Langeberg Sub-district
\nREQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 (or equivalent). Experience:
\nAppropriate experience in building, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing,
\npainting, electrical, carpentry, maintenance and repairs. Appropriate
\nexperience in workshop related tasks. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid
\n(Code B\/EB) driver\u2019s licence. Ability to do stand-by duties. Willingness to assist
\nin all facilities in the sub district within the workshop set-up. Willingness to be
\non standby, work overtime and to work on weekends and public holidays.
\nCompetencies (knowledge\/skills): Be conversant with the requirements of the
\nMachinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ability to operate
\nindustrial machinery and welding tasks. Ability to read, speak and write in at
\nleast two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability to handle
\nheavy equipment, heights and narrow spaces.
\nDUTIES : Assist with the execution of engineering\/projects\/repairs and internal
\nmaintenance in regard of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, glazing and building
\nworks. Maintain, repair and cleaning of drains on a regular basis Maintain and
\nrepair general kitchen and laundry equipment. Strict adherence to the
\nOccupational health and Safety Act. Assist Artisans in the performance of their
\nduties. Control over tools, equipment and material.

\nSALARY : R147 459 per annum
\nCENTRE : Groote Schuur Hospital, Observatory
\nREQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 (or equivalent). Experience:
\nAppropriate experience and knowledge of carpentry. Inherent requirement of
\nthe job: Ability to lift, move and handle heavy power-tools. Competencies
\n(knowledge\/skills): Good communication in at least two of the three official
\nlanguages of Western Cape. Ability to plan ahead (pro-active) and work
\nindependently as well as in a team. Strict adherence to the Occupational
\nHealth and Safety Act.
\nDUTIES : Assist with the execution of carpentry projects\/repairs and maintenance at
\nhospital. Maintain and repair hospital furniture and equipment. Assist Artisans
\nin the performance of their duties. Complete and return repair requisitions and
\nkeep record of all repairs and perform the necessary administrative functions.

\nof the hospital. Maintain plantrooms, plant, equipment and work area in a clean
