REQUIREMENTS : \u2022 A Basic education \u2013 ABET is required as recognised by SAQA \u2022 Minimum of 1 year<\/p>\n
experience in Cleaning services \u2022 Basic literacy and numeracy \u2022 Knowledge of using variety<\/p>\n
cleaning equipment and products \u2022 Knowledge of general hygiene practices \u2022 Knowledge of<\/p>\n
facility layout \u2022 Proven client focus and orientation \u2022 Interpersonal, service hygiene and<\/p>\n
communication skills.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for, amongst others, the following specific tasks:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Perform general cleaning services in the Department \u2022 Clean bathrooms and kitchens and<\/p>\n
associated areas as per outlined standards \u2022 Set of keys and for ensuring the security and<\/p>\n
integrity of areas of cleaning \u2022 Report maintenance issues as per procedures \u2022 Ensure that<\/p>\n
refuse are disposed timeously \u2022 Maintain environment, deep clean carpeted and non-carpeted<\/p>\n
areas \u2022 Ensure maintenance of storage areas \u2022 Operate machinery as and when required \u2022<\/p>\n
Cleaning of the offices, store and boardrooms \u2022 Dusting the furniture, vacuum, clean and<\/p>\n
empty of dustbins \u2022 Sweeping floors, washing windows and waste removal \u2022 Cleaning of<\/p>\n
passage, kitchen and stairs (General cleaning of the building) \u2022 Sweeping, washing and<\/p>\n
polishing the floors \u2022 Proper cleaning of the kitchen and equipment \u2022 Collecting of kettles and<\/p>\n
urns, cleaning them and filing of water jugs \u2022 Ensure that the boardroom is clean \u2022 Organize<\/p>\n
cups, kettles glasses jugs for water \u2022 Maintain good relationship with employees in the<\/p>\n
Department \u2022 Build sound and sustainable relationships with clients \u2022 Establish and maintain<\/p>\n
good relations within employees \u2022 Maintain friendliness with employees all the time \u2022 Ensure<\/p>\n
compliance to regulatory requirement \u2022 Ensure compliance with relevant regulations \u2022 Perform<\/p>\n
duties within the relevant legislation, policies and procedures \u2022 Comply with relevant policies<\/p>\n
and procedures.<\/p>\n
