TRADESMAN AID (FLEET MANAGEMENT)
\nSALARY : R124 434 per annum
\nCENTRE : Bredasdorp, Overberg District, Emergency Medical Services
\nREQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 (or equivalent). Experience:
\nAppropriate experience in a mechanical workshop. Appropriate experience in
\noperating and using workshop power tools. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid
\nCode 10 driver\u2019s licence and PrDP. Fit enough to do hard physical work and lift
\nheavy machinery when required. Incumbent must be prepared to work overtime,
\nwhen required (including weekends and public holidays). Competencies

\n(knowledge\/skills): Ability to communicate effectively with the ability to read, speak
\nand write in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability
\nto function independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the Occupational
\nHealth and Safety Act and safety principles. Administration skills and good report
\nwriting abilities.
\nDUTIES : (key result areas\/outputs): Assist with basic repairs, services and safe handling of
\nequipment and tools. Assist with Identification and rectification of faults\/defects on
\nitems, equipment, and installations. Assist with basic administration, including the
\ndelivery of completed work requisitions, ordering of materials, and reporting of
\nincidents. Move and deliver vehicles to and from ambulance stations and repair
\nshops and assist with emergency breakdowns (Including after hours). Cleaning of
\nall areas and equipment in the Fleet Workshop. Follow and adhere to elementary
\ncontrol measures and standard operational procedures and the ability to adhere
\nto safety standards.
