“This Is Not the Time to Fight” – Penny Penny Reacts to Facebook Mockery

Xitsonga Disco artist Eric Nkovane, popularly known as Eric Nkovane, has once again become the center of attention after recently joining the Mayibuye Political Party. He joined Mayibuye after resigning from the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP).

This comes after a Facebook user known as Mr Post shared comments about the ANC and also took aim at Penny Penny personally, criticizing his hairstyle and mocking the veteran musician. The post quickly attracted reactions from social media users, with many waiting to see how Penny Penny would respond.

Instead of responding with anger, Penny Penny chose to remain calm and focused on politics. In his response, he made it clear that this is not the time for arguments with people who insult him, but rather a time to grow and strengthen the Mayibuye movement among the Tsonga and Shangaan community.

Penny Penny wrote:

“Lowu a hi nkari waku hlamulana na yena lowa makhwiri inkari waku kurisa nhlangano wa Mayibuye wuva visible eka rixaka ra matsonga Machangana.
A nga lavi ku pfuka hi mina”

Many supporters praised Penny Penny for avoiding social media fights and choosing to focus on building political awareness instead of engaging in personal attacks. His response has since sparked conversations online, with some people applauding his maturity while others continue debating his political move and public image.
